  • DRY-BREAK

DRY-BREAK Systems are used in any application where the accidental spillage of liquids must be avoided. Emco Wheaton invented the term "DRY-BREAK" in the 1950s and it became a standard industry term that applies to all couplings that allow for spill-free disconnect of the two components.  The two components are referred to as the "coupler" or "hose unit" and the "adapter" or "tank unit". The combination of Emco Wheaton and TODO DRY-BREAK couplings gives the end user the world's greatest range of styles, materials, and working conditions.
  • Gantry Access Equipment

Increased vigilance by HSE/OSHA inspectors in recent years has highlighted the need for improved tanker top access facilities. The majority of tanker access is required for loading or unloading, however in many cases operators need to have access to tanker tops to check security of man-lids or sample product. The most common form of tanker access and enclosure is the Folding Stair, these can be configured with a range of steps and step widths together with safety baskets. In case of a high variance of tankers and large working areas, a complex protecting grating system may be the better solution.
  • Integrated Systems

Emco Wheaton has been providing custom engineered fluid transfer solutions to the mineral oil, chemical and food markets for many years. We offer pre-contract consultancy, through to complete detailed design, manufacture, actory system testing, delivery and site installation for fluid transfer of ships, railcars, truck or other compartments.

  • Loading Arms & Associated Products

We are the leading global provider of total solutions for customers needing to transfer or store hazardous gasses and liquids in bulk. We manufacture a variety of marine, road and rail loading arms as well as a comprehensive range of accessories. Our strong brand names include Emco Wheaton, Perolo, CE-LSI and AARIG are synonymous with product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Refueling Systems

We supply a range of solutions for your fueling challenges. Automatic shut-off fueling systems have been developed for transit busesmining and other off-highway vehiclesgantry cranes, and locomotives.  Overwing fueling solutions have been developed for general and military aviation including small aircraft and helicopters.
  • Safety Release Systems

The safety release systems provides automatic disconnection of a loading arm in the event of a tanker accidentally driving away. Simultaneously the product flow will be shut off both upstream and downstream of the disconnection point. The systems can be used in a variety of loading applications.
  • Storage Tank Equipment

Floating Suction Systems are used within storage tanks for petroleum and aviation products. Suspended by the surface of the liquid, the inlet to the pump is held in the clean dense product regardless of the constantly changing liquid level. For tanks with floating roofs, large bore roof skimmers move with the roof to drain away unwanted liquid.
  • Swivels

Pipelines, which are rigid structures, can be rendered movable by using our swivel joints. This is necessary where the use of a hose is unacceptable. The pipelines maintain their characteristics for carrying fluids and gain the advantage of 360° rotation in all planes. Our swivel joints are used where easy handling, operational safety and low-wear characteristics are required. The rotation function is achieved by means of one or two integrated ball tracks comparable to ball-bearing. The ball tracks are hardened and precision ground, with the exception of the aluminum version.
