The J0453 MKII is the latest evolution of Emco Wheaton’s trusted API coupler range—now re-engineered for even greater performance, safety, and user experience.

Built on direct customer feedback, the J0453 MKII features enhanced heat treatment for increased strength and durability, a revised spring rate for improved coupling performance, and a user-centered design that prioritizes operator comfort and safety.

With up to 50% less maintenance downtime, a lightweight 7.1 kg body, and multiple seal options including FFKM for aggressive chemicals like MTBE, the J0453 MKII is ready for the most demanding fuel handling environments. Its ergonomic handle and improved sealing make complex loading operations safer and more efficient.

The J0453 MK II is one of the lightest couplings on the market at just 7.1kg (15.6lb) – this weight reduction has been achieved by using new low-weight components that still maintain durability. It has a maximum working pressure of 230 psi and connects to a 4” tank truck flange.

The coupling is shipped with X seals as standard, but customers can choose from a number of variants:

• 4” API Coupler, Buna (NBR)
• 4” API Coupler, Low Temp, Viton (GFLT)
• 4” API Coupler, FFKM
• 4” API Coupler, EPDM
