Frequently used in rail loading applications, top loading arms provide a quick and efficient method of bulk fluid loading and unloading. The liquid is loaded through either a manhole or fixed coupler connection at the top of the railcar. Top loading arms are compatible with a wide range of accessories. This includes heating systems, additional safety equipment, and liners; making them preferable when working with heat sensitive liquids.
Bottom loading arms are ideal for transferring a range of hazardous products including petroleum, liquefied gasses, solvents and other hazardous chemicals. Attached to the bottom of the railcar via a sealed connection, bottom loading arms maximize safety of railcar loading / unloading operations. In addition to increasing the speed and efficiency of loading by allowing simultaneous loading of multiple railcars.
The majority of railcar loading operations require specific access equipment such as folding stairs and safety baskets. In many cases operators need to have access to tanker tops to check security of man-lids or sample products. The most common form of tanker access and enclosure is the Folding Stair. These can be configured with a range of steps and step widths together with safety baskets. In case of a high variance of tankers and large working areas, a complex protecting grating system may be the better solution.
API couplers provide the critical interface between the loading arm and railcar. As part of a complete railcar loading system API couplers can ensure safe and spill free operation. Our design ensures the highest efficiency and safety of your loading operations.
