Vapor Cones and Plates

Where atmosphere emissions are a concern, Emco Wheaton provides a variety of solutions that are customizable to the site and arm.  Adding a vapor cone or plate with a vapor recovery system on the arm, this improves the profitability of the terminal because vaporized product can be recovered and does not pollute the environment.   By doing so, this provides a high level of protection to the operator as well.   Perfect for hydrocarbon, toxic, and aggressive product applications. 

Vapor cones are designed for applications in which the size of the tank or railcar manhole varies anywhere from 10” to 24”.  Vapor plates are optimal when the manhole is consistent in diameter and are designed to seal on top of the dome.   Both items can be fitted with an elastomer seal, however both will function properly without as well.   Locking devices can be installed on the arm as well as the plates to provide secure placement during loading.   Materials are offered in stainless steel and aluminum.  Additional accessories available such as overfill protection devices, perforated drop tubes for sensor protection, openable sampling hatches, and acrylic sight windows.
