The PosiLock Blue DEF system consists of a durable nozzle and an accompanying adaptor that is connected to the onboard DEF/AdBlue tank. It operates the same way as the industry recognised PosiLock 105 system, providing a clean and safe working environment.
Contamination of a DEF/AdBlue with diesel is a serious issue that can not only damage a vehicle’s engine but also cause explosions, as such it’s vital to ensure both mediums are kept apart. This is done through the PosiLock Blue’s selective interface that is unable to be interchanged with any other fuel system.
Other benefits include dry-break disconnect couplings that eliminate spillages, automatic shut off that permits unattended operation and a vacuum shut off mechanism that protects the tank from exposure to positive pressure. Like the PosiLock 105, this product also has a pre-set level to guarantee filling is consistent and protects against theft as no access is possible without an active connection.
This system is an ideal retrofit solution as it requires no cutting or dropping tanks. Better still, no new training is required if users are familiar with the PosiLock 105 refueling system. Materials of all wetted components comply with ISO 22241 requirements.
